Update: Colocation Management

We released a refresh for the Colocation section of the account control center this morning. In addition to a general layout update, we’ve added a new section for power use similar to network port use. For this initial release only PDU level data for half and full space colocations is available and we’re working on outlet level data for shared space colocation as a minor update to follow. Unfortunately the way we’d been collecting power data was not compatible with the final graph generation method for the account control center, so while historical data is not available online it can be requested from support.

Roller Network provides facility scale power and online power management to customers as part of our colocation services from our datacenter in Reno, NV.

New Preference: Billing Email Level

We’ve added a new account preference called “Billing Email Level”. This option is intended to allow customers to suppress informational billing emails (such as successful auto-pay notices) that do not require any action from the account holder.

The default is “All Billing Messages”. This is the current behavior. This can optionally be configured to “Errors and Warnings Only” where we’ll only send messages to the billing contact that require attention.

Change: Log Bad Password Attempts on Submissions

We’ve made a minor addition to the mail submission logs: failed submission attempts with a bad password will now be logged as “password mismatch”.

Parking Lot Resealing 9/28-9/29

Our parking lot is scheduled to be resealed this weekend, September 28th through September 29th. We are recommending our colocation customers try to avoid scheduling non-emergency access this weekend since parking may not be available other than on the street.

UPDATE: The parking lot in our area will be open until 3:00PM on the 28th.

New: “Logs for Mail Services”

We’ve released a new “Logs for Mail Services” section under the account control center as a combination of all three log views (Incoming, Outgoing, and Submitted) reorganized into a single section with easy access to documentation.

The main motivation for this was to clarify that there are different views for incoming and outgoing stages on mail delivery through the use of UI tabs instead of the often overlooked “View” selector that was part of the search form. The original functionality has not changed – other than removing the now unnecessary “View” selector. It also has UI elements for “loading” states for both online viewing and downloads, plus some error states. Additionally, the logs will hold state as you switch between tabs.

If there are any issues with the new log section please contact us.
